2017 - END OF YEAR PRAYER POINTS

NOVEMBER – DECEMBER PRAYER POINTS 2017

CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR
PRAYER POINTS FOR CROSSING OVER INTO 2018

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign:
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son,
and shall call His name Immanuel.”

Isaiah 7:14(NKJV)

In today’s world there is little regard for what Christmas is really all about and so therefore to many it is just another day.  However the reason for the season is that Christmas begins with The Christ Child being born in Bethlehem and the story deepens and continues until this same story become humanities gift of eternal life and the indwelling of Christ in our hearts.

The real reason for the season gives us, Christians, the ability to live our lives differently - in victory and with the help of God. Immanuel, as quoted in the passage of scripture above means God with us!
God became man so that He could dwell among us...and ultimately die for us. His Holy Spirit is still with us today as He said, “and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20 NKJV)

I have put together some Powerful Prayer Points that you can begin to pray in order to align your life with The Word of God for 2018.

I wish you all every blessing of heaven
over this season and beyond.

Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:
but this one thing I do,

forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize
of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

These prayer points are written to give you focus when praying and will help you to launch and deepen your prayer life by enlarging your conversations with God using His language – The Word of God!

OCTOBER 2017 - PRAYERS AGAINST TERRORISM

PRAYERS AGAINST ATTACKS OF TERROR

PRAYER POINTS - OCTOBER 2017
(for more powerful prayer points against Terror – see downloads)

October has presented to us yet another Attack of Terror in a public place to hundreds of people who were out trying to enjoy an evening of entertainment - namely on this occasion the Las Vegas shootings.

In 2017 to this point alone we have seen over 85 different incidents of terror, murder and injury.   These acts of terror always cause people to ask "why?"  The Word of God simplifies the question and the answer and succinctly says:

Where there is no vision, the people perish:
but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Proverbs 29:18

Without vision, focus and God's laws we will become acutely miserable and we will self-destruct!  I pray that as Christians and light-bearers to this world of present darkness that we will hold up the message of Jesus Christ to the world for all to see:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way,
the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me
.John 14:6

As a prophetic voice and servant of God I have learnt over the years that when things become different in our lives or status that we must in turn learn to pray differently in order to address our altered circumstances.   So, this month,  we are going to do just that through our prayer points (if you need more prayers, a more comprehensive list, see downloads).  Also if you need further help with your own prayer life download (Kindle copy) my book from Amazon Prayer Power which has powerful prayers in it specifically for YOU!

TIME TO FAST & PRAY

2 Chronicles 7:14

and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; t
hen will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.
page1image3920

  • Aims of this Fast

      1. To Consecrate your life to God
  1. To Dedicate your life to God
  2. To Demonstrate God’s power in your life
  3. To Activate God’s anointing in your life
  4. To Give God Thanks and Praise

In the month of Pentecost (June)  you have an opportunity to access an open heaven. Fasting is the “escalator” that will carry you there. The purpose of fasting is to carry you into the presence of God more quickly. In The Tabernacle of Moses, God exemplified and showed us the way to access His power and presence, this was achieved through sacrifice and service to God. Fasting is a sacrifice and my prayer for you this month is that you will make that necessary sacrifice as you serve God and escalate your deliverance and progress in life. My prayer is that the results of this fast will be evidenced in our nation and your own family and loved ones.

MAKING PRAYER A DAILY HABIT

Welcome to the month of May, the fifth month on the year.  The number 5 in Biblical terms is the number that represents amongst other things the grace of God.  I am sure that most of us realise that if it were not for the grace of God we would not still be here on the planet today…thank God for His grace and His mercy.

Because God’s grace is extended to us we are given the divine opportunity to communicate with Him.  Imagine that, an opportunity to communicate with the very God who created the heavens and the earth…Wow!

So how do we communicate with God?  We do so through prayer and prayer is a power tool given to us by Almighty God.  It is a specific and supernatural tool that we have been given in order to complete every task, job and role that we will ever face or be confronted with in our lives.

The Bible illustrates time and again the very many people who prayed and how they prayed.  It does not take a scholar to notice that, all the really successful people in The Bible were also people of prayer.  The same is true today.  If your desire is to be successful in life then it is to your advantage to learn how to pray.

In the Bible people prayed on their knees (1 Kings 8:54), bowing (Exodus 4:31), on their faces before God (2 Chronicles 20:18Matthew 26:39), and standing (1 Kings 8:22). You may pray with your eyes opened or closed, quietly or out loud—however you are most comfortable and least distracted, but the key is to PRAY!

Most of us if we are honest will admit to not praying enough and sometimes our reasons for this are very varied.  Why not begin a process of change today and just begin to make prayer your daily habit.

Use the prayer points below for one month to begin the process of change in your life.

PRAYER POINTS

1.    Dear Father and Lord create in me a deep desire and longing to be close to you and spend more time with you in prayer, in The Name of Jesus Christ.

2.    Father God create in me a clean heart so that I can serve you properly (Ps 51:10) in the Name of Jesus Christ

3.    Sovereign Lord and King of Kings  help me to put you first and foremost in everything making Jesus the centre of it all, in The Name of Jesus Christ.

4.    My Healer and Deliverer I ask you to touch every part of my body, life, family and world; make me and your people all over the world whole again, in The Name of Jesus Christ.

Barriers to Answered Prayer

Selfishness - The New Global Epidemic

This month I would like to take the opportunity to help you to achieve answers to your prayers.  For further help and assistance with this try to get hold of my book Prayer Power (available from Amazon) or sign up for our Prayer Academy which starts this year.

Today’s world is a very selfish narcissistic one.  Christian and non –Christian alike have become very overwhelmed by their own personal needs and often have very little time for the needs of others even in the place of prayer.  Selfishness is that attitude of being concerned with one’s own interests above the interests of others. Selfishness is also the major and number one reason for breakdowns in marriages, family and social relationships and  societal problems!

Selfishness in our lives will become a barrier between us and God and will ultimately block and stop our prayers from being answered.

The apostle Paul admonishes us in Phillipians 2: 3-4 (NASB)

“do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit,
but with humility of mind regard one another
as more important than yourselves;
do not merely look out for your own personal interests,
but also for the interests of others”

In this passage Paul compares selfishness to “empty conceit”—a term that could be translated “vanity” or “arrogance.” It refers to an overly high opinion of oneself. Selfishness, then, is akin to narcissism.

Selfishness often wears many different faces but the most  common face is frequently seen when an individual demonstrates the need to build up oneself while tearing down someone else.

Six Biblical Definitions of Selfishness

1.   Selfishness hinders prayer (James 4:3).

2.   Selfishness is also known as “works of the flesh” according to Galatians 5:20.

3.   Selfishness leads to - “disorder and every evil practice” (James 3:16).

4.   Selfishness caused the children of Israel to “willfully put God to the test by demanding the food they craved” (Psalm 78:18).

5.   Selfishness caused the rich young ruler to turn his back on Jesus (Matthew 19:21-22).

6.   Selfishness ruins friendships (Proverbs 18:1),

So What is the Opposite of Selfishness?

The opposite of selfishness and the characteristics that we need to have in order to obtain answers to our prayers  is found in Philippians 2: 2

1.   “Being united with Christ,
2.   Having tenderness and compassion,
3.   And “being like-minded,
4.   Having the same love,
5.   Being one in spirit and purpose”

Resisting[1] the sin of selfish ambition requires genuine humility. Genuine humility restores and grows relationships. Being humble involves having a true perspective about ourselves in relation to God.

Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought,
but rather think of yourself with sober judgment,
in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you
Romans 12:3

If Philippians 2:2 describes you then answered prayer will become a habit and pattern of success in your life.

How to Get Answered Prayer

Make an effort to invest some of your time in and on other people outside of your norm.  Live your life in a way that pleases God - do not sin deliberately! Pray for those around you, your society, world, global issues, devote some of your prayer time to the needs of others and not just your own.  Our world is in a lot of trouble  and your prayers can help to change things.  Give, devote, some of your prayer time to the needs of others.   Did you notice that it was when Job began to pray for his friends that his own situation began to change for the better.

And the Lord turned the captivity of Job,
when he prayed for his friends:
also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Job 42:10

Do you want to be blessed?  Do you want success?  Do you want answers to your prayers?

The Bible states:  It is “more blessed to give than to receive”  (Acts 20:35) and remember  “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7)…get yourself off your mind. Make a daily habit of giving someone a kind word or even a helping hand and you will be surprised to see how God begins to bless you.

Make prayer and a daily reading of God’s Word a habit in your life.  If you do this The Word of God will begin to work in your heart and circumstances like never before and  this will bring about radical change on every level of your life.

[1]   James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
