December is the twelve and final  concluding month of 2016, it is also the month  that  globally many still celebrate the Birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The number 12 signifies perfection of government or rule. According to Bible scholars, 12 is the product of 3, which signifies the divine, and 4, which signifies the earthly. The number 12 has further significance, as it represents authority, appointment and completeness. The number 666 is used to represent the devil and hell, whereas 12, 12, 12 is believed to signify God and heaven. The number 12 is also associated with the government of the cosmos

The number 12 appears 187 times in the Bible. There are several instances regarding the number 12.  Jesus was 12 years old when he questioned the scholars in the temple. There are 12 legions of angels, and the tree of life in the new creation will produce 12 types of fruit. The number 144,000 servants of God is the sum of 12 x 12,000 (12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel). Many more associations with the number 12 are found in the Bible.

Get ready to open the door to new opportunities and victories for 2017 and close the door on everything that you do not want or desire.

Personalise and pray the following promises from God’s Word into your life

1. God’s presence—“I will never leave thee” (Heb. 13:5) –
ie  Dear Lord You said in Your Word that you will never leave me nor forsake me, therefore help me to never leave you, flood me with your presence, in The Name of Jesus.”
2. God’s protection—“I am thy shield” (Gen. 15:1)
3. God’s power—“I will strengthen thee” (Isa. 41:10)
4. God’s provision—“I will help thee” (Isa. 41:10)
5. God’s leading—“And when He putteth forth His own sheep, He goeth before them” (John 10:4)
6. God’s purposes—“I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil” (Jer. 20:11)
7. God’s rest—“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28)
8. God’s cleansing—“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9)
9. God’s goodness—“No good thing will He withhold from them that work uprightly” (Psalm 84:11)
10. God’s faithfulness—“The Lord will not forsake His people for His great name’s sake” (1 Sam. 12:22)
11. God’s guidance—“The meek will He guide” (Psalm 25:9)
12. God’s wise plan—“All things work together for good to them that love God” (Rom. 8:28)

December is the month in which we celebrate the birth of The Lord Jesus Christ.  God loved us so much that he gave us His one and only son, Jesus Christ.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

When God gives of Himself He does not hold anything back.  All of God is given to us in Jesus Christ and vice versa.  God makes Himself accessible to us all through His son Jesus.  Access to God is gained and established through and by forming a relationship with Jesus Christ

The entire Word of God is based on two things: Relationships and Godly principles.   Jesus came to Earth for you, to re-establish Adam and Eve’s broken relationship with Him.  What is most important about Jesus’ mission to Earth is that it directly affects your life now and forever.  Christmas time is a reminder that Jesus has come to restore your relationship to God the Father.

Just like the baby Jesus  and His transition from child to adult, your relationship with God will grow and mature if you allow it to.   If you choose to believe in and receive Jesus Christ into your life, then your life will begin to change and change for the better.  It is impossible to have a relationship with God without having the improvements that such a relationship brings with it.  If you would like to have a personal relationship with God in your own life  or  are unsure about whether or not you have given your life to God or are just plain tired with the way things are with you presently then ask The Lord into your life now.

“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life, today I turn towards you. Please forgive me, and help me to avoid sinning wilfully.  I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayers. I invite Jesus Christ to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me to obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life in Jesus' name I pray, Amen.”

If you decided to repent of your sins and receive Christ today, welcome to God's family. Now, as a way to establish a good relationship with God and grow closer to Him, The Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment.

  • Get baptized as commanded by Christ (Acts 2:38).
  • Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
  • Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word.
  • Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
  • Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus.
  • Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
  • Find a local church where you can be  taught God’s Word and worship God.

NOVEMBER is the eleventh month of the year.   The number eleven is important in that it can symbolize disorder, chaos and judgment.

In The Bible, 11 is used twenty-four times and "11th" can be found 19 times. Coming after 10 (which represents law and responsibility), the number eleven represents the opposite - the irresponsibility of breaking the Law, which brings disorder and judgement.
Did you know that In Genesis 11, men rebelled against God and built the tower of Babel, the place where mass confusion and ineffective communication were seen on a scale as never before on the then known civilisation.  God judged them by confusing their language, which resulted in chaos - even today we are still struggling to understand each other!
The Apostle John saw 11 things in connection with the final judgment (Revelation 20:12 - 14).

I am listing 11 promises that the Gospel of John records for your life.  Pray and personalise these  words/scriptures into your life 11 times each day.  Use The Word of God to break any patterns of disorder, rebellion or broken down situations/circumstances  that may be present in your own life currently or that of your family or even your loved ones or friends.

  • A person can receive everlasting life by believing in the Son of God (John 3:16)
  • A person can have eternal life by eating, spiritually, Jesus' body (John 6:54)
  • By following Jesus you will not walk in darkness (John 8:12)
  • Those who continue in Jesus' word will be set free (John 8:31 - 32)
  • A person will truly be FREE if made so by Jesus (John 8:36)
  • God the Father will honour those who serve Christ (John 12:26)
  • Those who believe in Jesus will do greater deeds than He did (John 14:12)
  • Those who obey Christ's commands will receive the Holy Spirit (John 14:15 - 16)
  • Those who keep Jesus' commands will be loved by both Him and God The Father (John 14:21)
  • Those who abide in Jesus will be fruitful (John 15:5)
  • A person can be Christ's friend IF they obey Him (John 15:14)

October is the tenth month of the year and the number 10 is mentioned and illustrated very many times in The Bible in very many different ways.

This month I would like to do a Bible study with you and teach you more about the occurrences of the number 10 in The Bible, you may also discover more as your read the given examples.  So let me teach you something about the number 10 as given in The Bible.  Here are some examples below,  please take the time to look them up and learn more about the stories that they are related to.  If you do not have one already,  buy yourself a good notebook that you can use to make notes about what you learn from the following scriptures.  This will enable and equip you to not only read but study.  The Bible says:

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15

  • Genesis, chapter 1, at the beginning of creation, the term "God said" is used 10 times.

  • From Adam to Noah was 10 generations (Gen Ch. 5).

  • God promised Abraham He would not destroy Sodom if 10 righteous men could be found there (Gen 18:32).

  • God caused the shadow on a sundial to go backwards 10 degrees (2 Kin 20:8-11).

  • In the Temple were 10 lavers, 10 lampstands, and 10 tables (2 Chr 4:6-8).

  • On the 10th day of the first month, a lamb was to be chosen for Passover (Ex 12:2-3).

  • There were 10 days between Jesus' ascension to Heaven and Pentecost.

  • God created us with 10 fingers and 10 toes.

  1. Father  create and establish Your Word in me for all to see, let Your Word become flesh in my life (John 1;14).
  2. Dear God I ask you to flood and cleanse the families of the earth and fill us with Your righteousness.
  3. My Lord and Saviour Cleanse, heal and inspire all those in authority, our leaders, globally, our schools, institutions, businesses, media, Arts, Entertainment, Your Church
  4. Help me oh God so that I may help others, teach me how to be your best witness and living testimony in the earth.
I ask all of this through the blood of  Jesus and in the  name of  Jesus Christ, Amen!

Welcome to another month and more discoveries of every blessing of another new month - September is the ninth month of the year.

The number 9 in biblical terms is the number that represents Gifts and fruit (1 Cor 12 and Gal 5:22).  I pray that in this month you will discover your God-given gifts and that the fruit of them will be manifested for all to see.

Nine is the number also of the human, female gestation cycle - a natural pregnancy lasts for 9 months. A pregnancy is split up into trimesters.  A trimester is a period or term of three months, or is one of three terms of an academic year.

I pray that in the remaining months of 2016 that you will experience a  time of great learning, discovery and the manifestation of all that God has for your life.

May The Word of God grow in your spiritual womb until The Word becomes flesh (John 1:1) tangible in your life.

God bless you abundantly,
Pastor Avis

Sunday, 3 July 2016

Welcome to the blessing of another new month - July, the seventh month of the year.

The first time we encounter the use of the number 7 is in the creation week. God spends six days creating the heavens and in the Bible this story  is
found in Genesis 1.  The number 7 relates to the end of the earth, and then rests on the seventh day. This format then becomes our template for the seven-day week which is observed around the world even to this day.

The seventh day was and is meant to be “set apart” for Israel; the Sabbath was a holy day of rest (Deuteronomy 5:12).  From the very beginning, the Bible shows the number 7 as a number that is related and identified to something being “finished” or “complete.”

My prayer for your life and your prayer points for this month are that God will enable you to:

  • Complete and finish every assignment and task that you have started.

  • That everything you set your hands to will succeed and not fail.

  • That your mind, heart and emotions, body and spirit will find the rest that God desires for your life.

God bless you richly,

Pastor Avis

PRAYER BLOG – PRAYER FOR JUNE 2016 Prayer of “Turn-around”

JUNE 2016

You are now half way through another year. It is time to take stock. Are you on course for achieving your goals for 2016 or have you not set any? What do you want to achieve this year, have you decided or will you allow another year to by-pass you and be filed in the Library of History as one that was unfulfilled.

June is the sixth month of the year and the number 6 in Biblical terms represents.
  • The number and the worship of man.
  • Signifies rebellion, imperfection, works, and disobedience.
  • 6 is used 273 times in the Bible, including its derivatives (e.g, sixth) and another 91 times as “threescore” or “60.” Man was created on the sixth day (Genesis 1:26, 31). See also Exodus 31:15 and Daniel 3:1.
  • Shown in the book of Revelation as “666” identifying the beast. “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six” (Revelation 13:18).
